The 2023 World AeroPress Champion joins 2026 China AeroPress Championship as a judge and workshop host.
This October, the AeroPress Championship China comes to Guiyang for three days of competition, coffee, learning, and community.
For 2026, we wanted to create something that goes beyond finding one champion. Competitors from across China—and AeroPress lovers from further afield—will come together in one city to brew, practice, compete, learn, and spend time with people who share the same obsession.
And we’re excited to announce one of the people joining us in Guiyang:
Tay Wipvasutt, 2023 World AeroPress Champion from Thailand.
Tay will join the championship as a judge, but we don’t want our guests to simply sit behind the judging table.
He’ll also host a workshop for competitors, sharing what he has learned from his own competition journey—from developing and practicing a recipe to approaching competition day and ultimately becoming a World AeroPress Champion.
It’s an opportunity to learn from someone who has already made the journey many competitors in Guiyang are dreaming about.
Ask questions. Learn how a champion thinks. Pick up some competition tips. Brew together. And maybe take something new into your own competition.
Because even though only one person will leave Guiyang as the 2026 China Champion, we want everyone to leave with something.
